Xolo Q1000 Smartphone Leaks; Seen Heading for June Debut

The Indian mobile market has been continuously rolling out a great deal of offerings, and among the companies that hold prominence is Micromax. Holding a lion’s share in the tablet industry and leaping ahead of the global manufacturers like Samsung and Apple in the Indian terrain, Micromax has been maintaining the balance between affordability and quality with their rigs.

The Micromax A116 Canvas HD smart device was one major device that gained much popularity among the Indian customers. The phone’s specifications were glitzy for such a cheap price tag, and benchmark ratings picked up pretty nice figures on its performance.

Micromax has competition brewing, of late. Eyeing the same league is Xolo, which is readying its next Intel based smartphone with specs similar to that of the Micromax A116 Canvas HD.

Going by a leak, the new model might be called Xolo Q1000  and could roll out the baby for around Rs 15000 segment.

Rumors indicate that various features present in the A116 need to be expected in the Xolo rig too, which would be powered by Android 4.2 Jellybean right out the box.

The Q1000 will sport a 5 inch HD display of 294 ppi  and will run on a 1.2 Ghz quad-core MediaTek processor with 1GB RAM.  The PowerVr SGX 544 GPU will look after the graphical processing for handling memory heavy games.

The 4GB in-built storage space is stingy, but a microSD card with upto 32 GB upgradeability will be good for your requirements.

The Q1000’s imaging department stands good with an 8 megapixel with BSI sensor. The phone has a 2100 mAh battery to keep it alive a day long. The new Xolo is likely to get a June 2013 release date.
