Xolo Play Tegra 3 Smartphone for Rs 15,999

Xolo Play, a smartphone from Xolo, is all charged up to be launched on July 15 for Rs. 15,999. The company has started promoting the device via its Facbook page and comes with the tag “the next big thing in gaming”.

Xolo Play runs on the Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean platform. The Xolo Play will boast a 4.7-inch display with a screen resolution of 720×1280 pixels and pixel density of 312 ppi. The device will be fueled by 1.5 GHz quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor with 416MHz 12 Core Nvidia ULP GeForce GPU. The device packs 1 GB of RAM and its internal memory is limited to 4GB, but it can be expanded up to 32 GB via microSD. For those who love picture capturing, there is an 8MP rear camera with BSI sensor and a 2MP front shooter. The rear camera can be used for video recording at 0031080p. The powerhouse of this device is a 2,000mAh battery.

For those who wanted a dual SIM phone from Xolo, this one could disappoint. It is a single SIM device which supports 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0 and GPS/aGPS.

Xolo already offers smartphones with MediaTek processors under its ‘A’ series and ‘Q’ series. Under ‘X’ series Xolo phones, the company uses Intel processor.
