Verizon Samsung Galaxy Nexus Gets Price Cut on Best Buy

Verizon is going out of their way to boost sales of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus prior to the arrival of newbie, Samsung Galaxy S3. The carrier has cut 50 bucks from their current 2 -year deal of $199.99 for the Nexus at Best Buy.

And, that would be way lower than its asking price at the time of its release. Galaxy Nexus was launched a year ago by the carrier on a $299.99 plus contract, and also saw decent sales across the country.

The new offer is however available online only. Although the device has made into the shelves much earlier, it is competent enough comparing to any high-end phones available in the contemporary phone market. So we think it is a pretty much a golden deal for theUSphone buyers.

Just in case you need a refresher on the phone’s specs, here goes. The Samsung Galaxy Nexus from Samsung touts a 4.65-inch 720p Super AMOLED display which offers a 316ppi pixel density.

The phone is powered by an impressive dual-core 1.2GHz TI OMAP 4460 chipset supported by a 1GB RAM. However, Nexus doesn’t have an option for expandable memory, but the inbuilt 32GB will be more than enough for an average user.

On the camera side, an autofocus enabled 5MP snapper with an LED flash is provided. It also allows 1080p video recording at 30fps, and with 4G LTE connectivity, things get smoother. Most prominently, the Nexus offers Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich right out of the box.

Weigh these options with the phones present in the current market, and you may not feel Nexus to be out of the fashion at all.
