Verizon Samsung Galaxy Nexus Finally Getting Official Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich Update

It looks like Verizon’s Samsung Galaxy Nexus will also be in the list to get the latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS update. The IMM76K Android 4.0.4 upgrade fixes a number of problems found in the device.

The update fixes bugs with in-call audio quality, large text in e-mails, text message connectivity, calendar note association and display freeze.

If you own a Samsung Galaxy Nexus, it would probably be a very good idea for you to upgrade your device with the new Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS update.

A leaked update was available in early May itself, but it just vanished into thin air. After a couple of weeks, it is back again officially. You can upgrade your device to the latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS manually.

But if you can wait a bit more, a signed push upgrade will be completely available to the users by the end of this week.

So, it is not like you have to wait a lot more. It’s only a matter of days before every Verizon’s Samsung Galaxy Nexus owner gets the latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS update.

Either way, it is best for you to upgrade your device rather than let it sit as it is as the new version looks very promising.

Since it also fixes a lot of bugs, your experience with the Verizon Samsung Galaxy Nexus should be even better than before.
