Verizon Confirms HTC Droid DNA Before official Event

Verizon and HTC are set to host a joint event on November 13, where we are expecting the official launch of the highly whispered  HTC Droid DNA. But then, a tad before that event Verizon has confirmed the device.

Verizon’s official website ‘Droid Does’ currently features a link under its “News & Offers” section that speaks about the Droid DNA Unboxing. This is slated on November 19 within the Google+ page. Interestingly, Verizon continues its silence about the rest of the device including its name and other details.

Meanwhile, an image of the Droid DNA also leaked and has been published on the web through the Twitter account @evleaks. The pictures show the front-and-back shot of the Droid DNA. The device seems to have a black body with modest red accents and it looks similar to the HTC’s J Butterfly smartphone.

The HTC J Butterfly is considered  the basic device behind the Droid DNA and it was introduced in Japan this October. The Droid DNA is expected to be a Verizon version of that same device.

Droid DNA, which is said to be the real competitor to Samsung’s Galaxy Note II, features a 5 inch display with 1920 x 1080 resolution, a 1.5-GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor, a GB of RAM, 16 GB of inbuilt memory and a microSD card slot for memory expansion.
