Sprint Kyocera Rise Launch Set For August 19

Finally, Sprint has released the launching date and price details of the Rise, the much awaited handset from the Kyocera stables.

The prime feature of the Rise is its full QWERTY physical keyboard with four rows of buttons. The chiclet keyboard slides out from the side.

Other features are 3.5 inch 320×480 display, a 512 MB of RAM, 3.2 mega pixel camera and 1 GHz processor with a 1,500mAh battery.

This .56 inch (14.3mm) thick device runs on CDMA networks with no LTE support.

The device comes with a 2 GB pre-installed memory and microSD cards for extra 32 GB storage.

This entry-level smartphone is preloaded with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and along with that, the phone will gain support for Sprint’s Direct Connect push-to-talk service.

The mobile will be available on August 19 on the internet for a price of $19.99 with a $50 mail-in rebate. Sprint has been also offering a two-year contract.

Well, we are not sure how many will interested in physical keyboards any more. But with all these features and price tag, Rise could be a better option for those who are looking for an affordable smartphone with a keyboard.
