Samsung Galaxy Exhilarate is Definitely a Good Buy

It’s been quite a while since I have come across an ecofriendly smartphone with the right price tag and believe me I go through the latest phones all the time.

But when I got my hands on Samsung Galaxy Exhilarate, that feeling just rushed by me as I had a nice time dealing with it. It was an absolute delight when I realized that the phone’s housing was made from 80% recycled post-consumer materials, earning an Environmentally Preferable Platinum certification from Underwriters Laboratories.

With an affordable price tag of just $49.99 with a 2 year contract, AT&T has done a nice job too.

Ecofriendliness is definitely a virtue, but it isn’t the only one for this phone. This is actually a smartphone and I knew it after I was alarmed to unplug the charger as the phone has been completely charged.

I find it really intuitive. The processor and display are not bad either. In fact, the display is a 4 inch Super AMOLED from Samsung and it is really good.

The Exhilarate which was first announced in January is an LTE Android smartphone that is powered by a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 APQ8060 dual-core processor and features a 5-megapixel auto-focus rear-facing camera that can record video in 720p HD. It also has a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera.

The phone is very much similar to its close cousin, the Galaxy S Blaze. It’s also the first AT&T 4G LTE smartphone to obtain UL Platinum certification.

With adequate responses from the physical power button as well as volume control key, the phone’s form factor is also nice enough to use it as a regular phone.

There are all kinds of modern age connectivity mumbo jumbo and the Mobile Hotspot in this device has the capability to support up to 5 Wi-Fi enabled devices. Saying all that, this phone definitely qualifies itself for being at the ‘must buy’ category for this year.
