Samsung Galaxy Camera Arrives In Canada with Carrier Independent 3G

Samsung Galaxy Camera, which is already available in the US and UK market, is now all set to launch in the Canadian market on December 7.

In Canada, the Galaxy Camera will be available through Black Photography and Samsung’s own Samsung Store at the Metrotown Mall in Burnaby, British Columbia.

Samsung’s latest Galaxy Camera targets both the professional photographers and social network users. This first Android smart camera comes with a 1.4GHz quad-core processor and a 4.8-inch capacitive HD Super Clear Touch Display.

The Canadian version of the camera will keep HSPA+ data, but the 3G will be carrier independent. And, that means a micro-SIM from any of the larger carriers will be enough for 3G photo sharing.

The other specs of the camera includes an 8GB of inbuilt storage, micro SD for memory expansion, micro SDHC, and micro SDXC, a 16/3 megapixel BSI sensor, 23mm equivalent F/2.8 lens with 21x optical zoom, A-GPS, GLONASS and Bluetooth 4.0.

The camera runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and includes special apps like Samsung’s own Smart Content Manager, photo and video wizards, auto cloud backup, voice control, slow-motion video, S Suggest, S Planner, and Best group pose feature.

The Galaxy camera also sports a decent 1,650 mAh battery.

Though Samsung has not announced any pricing for the device in Canada, but the gadget is expected to come with a price tag of $500.
