Review: Spice CoolPad Mi-515

The Spice CoolPad Mi-515 phablet, from Spice Mobility, has arrived in the Indian market sporting a price tag of Rs. 9,990. The device has already been put up for sale through some e-sellers in the country. The phablet features a 5-inch touchscreen and is powered by a quad-core processor.

Weighing 161 grams and sporting dimensions of 140x73x9.9 mm, the rig features a capacitive multi-touch display with 540×960 pixel resolution and a VGA webcam for video calls.


There is also a rear-facing 5MP snapper with auto focus,digital zoom, flash and night vision which helps in shooting videos and quality pictures.

Spice CoolPad Mi-515 is a dual SIM device and is accessible to 3G and Wi-Fi for browsing and is compatible with up to HSPA+ networks.

Powered by a four core 1.2 GHz processor, it comes packed with 1GB of RAM. 4 GB of inbuilt memory of which 1.79 GB is accessible to users is a regulation as in other device. Storage can be expanded up to 32 GB via a microSD slot. The device runs Android Jellybean 4.1 version OS, while the powerhouse for the device is a 2000mAh battery which lasts a full day on full charging.

The CoolPad Mi-515 is on sale on Saholic for Rs.9,990. Other retailers could also offer the phablet sooner.

Verdict: A fairly better phablet in the current scene. The price makes it worthy enough for a buy.
