Review: Soundfreaq, Bluetooth Speaker from Sound Kick

The Sound Kick, the new Bluetooth speaker from Soundfreaq, an American company,  is a cheaper but attractive than many other speaker devices in the market. It is a 10.5 inch long, 1.4 inch thick and 4.5 inch tall device with a simple front portion.

On the top of the speaker there are the standard controls like play/pause, forward/back, volume, power and a Bluetooth pairing button.

The “UQ3” button adds some “spatial enhancement” to audio, actually it is just a preset equalizer and makes the mids/highs clearer and the bass slightly punchier. It sounds amazing. It is clear and louder in the highs and lows.

The device has a 2200 mAh rechargeable battery that gives seven hours of battery life. You can even charge your mobilephone through a USB port on the back. This Bluetooth speaker is available at only $99.99.

Verdict

If you’re looking for a Bluetooth speaker and you don’t need very high standards then Sound Kick is a perfect device for you. But it has some limitations too like you can’t put it in your pocket or purse.
