Review: Lenovo Thinkpad Tablet 2 and IdeaTab A2107

Lenovos’ two new tablet devices, the ThinkPad Tablet 2 and the IdeaTab A2107, have been unveiled at last week’s AT&T 2012 event. While the IdeaTab A2017 is a 7-inch Android 4.0 tablet, the new ThinkPad Tablet is a Windows 8 device.

Considering the device specifications, the A2017 comes with a 7-inch HD screen display and supports Bluetooth 4.0 and 3G connectivity. Its front camera is capable of video chatting. There is also a rear camera provided.

The device holds a microUSB port that is accessible by removing the top portion of the device’s rear. IdeaTab runs on Android 4.0 but it will surely get a Jelly Bean upgrade in the near feature.

Meanwhile, the ThinkPad Tablet 2 is a little more interesting. It is a 10.1-inch device running on the new Windows 8 operating system. The device also features a full QWERTY keyboard with a capacitive tracknub in the middle.

Verdict
