Review: Lenovo Ideapad A1000

The Lenovo tablet Ideapad A1000 has arrived in the Indian market wearing a price tag of Rs. 8,999. The price is something that could lure us to the stalls. At first look, we guess the device suits those who prefer a super sized handset over regular smartphone.

The handset also features voice calling facility. The plain exterior however doesn’t look that great. But it matters less considering the price. Running Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS and powered by a 1.2 GHz dual core MediaTek processor, the device shows off a 7-inch capacitive multi-touch screen with resolution of 1024×600 pixels.

Of course, there is a camera, a 0.3  megapixel front snapper mounted just above the display. The device is embedded with a 3500mAh battery, which works for more than 8 hours of browsing over Wi-Fi.

The device  is packed with 1GB of RAM and features 4GB of onboard memory, which can be expanded via microSD up to 32 GB. E-retailer Flipkart  has started accepting pre-orders for the tablet at the moment.

Verdict: The price could attract more people towards it in the price conscious Indian market.
