Review: HTC Desire 500

HTC Desire 500, as you know has been launched in Taiwan a couple of days ago. The device is now heading for India and is likely to sport a tag that reads Rs. 24,000. The market price of the device is not officially revealed, though.

Though customers would be happy to see the rig featuring HTC’s own Sense 5, its lack of  BoomSound could disappoint. The picture clarity is awesome and we guess HTC wants users to experience visual wonders rather than just sound gimmicks.

HTC Desire 500 flaunts BeatsAudio and can record videos at 720p. There is a 1,800mAh battery embedded in itself, which can deliver 17.8 hours of talktime and 401 hours on standby mode. The device runs Android 4.2 OS and also  boasts BlinkFeed and dual front speakers.

The device is powered by 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 quad-core processor and hides 1GB of RAM underneath the case.

If you remember, HTC One Mini was launched last week and is doing good business. The availability of the Desire 500 in India could be only after September this year, but it could make its way to other markets from August itself.
