Review: AT&T Pantech Discover

Though, Pantech is well-known for their low priced cheap phones, the company has now done something new. Their new and improved Pantech Discover is a 4.8-inch HD screen device that looks pretty decent and holds more power.

The device is made of durable lightweight aluminum and hard plastic and holds stereo speakers and the best cameras. The device has on-screen navigation buttons, a thin bezel, and a sleek and thin profile. Though, it has a 4.8-inch display but the phone actually feels smaller than any other 4.8-inch handset such as the Galaxy S III.

It holds a 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and 1GB of RAM. It also has a 16GB of internal storage along with micro-SD for additional storage and a 2,100 mAh battery.

Comparing it with other smartphone devices under the $200 range, Pantech Discover sports the best cameras, a 12.6-megapixel rear camera and 2- megapixel front shooter for video chat and self portraits.

Sadly, the device comes into the market with Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich, instead of Jelly Bean.

For $49.99 the Pantech Discover is a best budget handset on the market that delivers HD visuals, dual-core speed and includes impressive camera capabilities and 4G LTE. But its touch sensitivity and UI need some improvements.
