Review: AT&T LG Optimus G Pro

LG’s super smartphone Optimus G Pro was first announced in February and now the device is heading towards the US market. The handset will be available on AT&T on May 10. The US version of the LG Optimus G Pro is almost identical to the international version and packs the same specs.

The LG Optimus G Pro sports a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display with a 400 ppi. The handset holds features like a 13-megapixel rear camera, 2.-megapixel front-facing camera, 32 GB of storage, 1.7GHz quad-core processor and a 3,140mAh battery.

The LG Optimus G Pro’s US version will also feature some new software improvements. The US version of the device supports dual-camera photos and videos. This will allow the users to take pictures or videos by using both the rear and front-facing cameras simultaneously. The handset also includes the Smart video feature, which uses the device’s front-facing camera for facial recognition software.

LG has also added a new feature in the handset and it is named Pause and Resume Recording. It lets you to record a video, pause it at any moment and pick up from where you left off.

On AT&T, the Optimus G Pro will be for $199.99 with a new two-year contract.

Verdict

The LG Optimus G Pro is a nice looking handset that packs a bunch of high-end specs. LG has included a few added features to the handset when bringing it to the U.S. market.
