Review: Asus VivoBook X202

Asus recently unveiled its brand new laptop dubbed the VivoBook X202 with touchscreen functionality. In some regions of the world, the device will be sold as Asus VivoBook S200.

This portable laptop device has an 11.6 inch display with 1366 x 768 resolution.

The attractive laptop device comes with Intel Core i3Ivy Bridge processor clocked at 1.8 GHz along with a 4 GB of DDR3 RAM and a 500 GB hard drive.

The device just weighs 3.1 pounds, and it is 0.85 inches thick. The laptop features a 1USB 3.0 port, 2 USB 2.0 ports, Ethernet, VGA and HDMI ports.

For storage the device supports a 4 GB of RAM and it has a hard disk capacity of 500 GB. It supports WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity and includes a 38Whr battery that should provide about 5 hours of run time. But this battery is not replaceable.

Asus is launching its VivoBook on October 26th with Windows 8 Operating System and the device is priced at $599.

The device is now available for pre order from online resellers such as Amazon, NewEgg, TigerDirect and B&H.

The laptop has a much faster processor and more RAM but the battery life is not very much impressive.

Dang. I thought the battery is removable and then the average battery life wouldn’t be an issue. 🙁

    Thanks for the review.
