Review: Acer Iconia W510

The Acer Iconia W510-1422 is a tablet/ notebook device  that works on Windows 8 platform. The tablet sports a 10.2-inch display and comes with low-wattage Atom processor.

About the other spec details, the Acer Iconia W510 has a 1.8GHz Intel Atom processor, 2GB of RAM, and a 64GB SSD. Under the hood, there’s a mini-HDMI and USB, a microSD port, headphone jack, volume rocker and a charging port. But Acer has made some sacrifices, the keys are small, shallow and the touchpad is tiny too.

The best features about the device are its portability and battery life, but it is not enough to justify its price tag of $750.

The overall design of the Iconia W510 is tiny and it weighs less than two pounds.

The tablet comes with Intel Graphic Media Accelerator technology along with 64MB of dedicated system memory. The company is claiming for a 7 -8 hours battery life. The tablet works with a 3450mAh battery and the base includes an additional battery. Altogether it will provide about 11 hours of battery life.

The whole device is solid, and will be best choice for those looking for convertible tablets running full Windows 8. But for this price you can get a better device on the market.
