Review: Acer Iconia Tab B1-A71

Acer had unveiled its Iconia Tab B1-A71, a budget friendly tablet, in the Indian market a while ago. The  device packs a few promising features. Though Acer Iconia B1-A71 is not the best looking tablet out there in the market, it has the best price range when you compare it with its competitors.

Acer-Iconia-Tab-B1-A71-4The build quality of the device looks pretty decent. At the bottom of the device, there is a microUSB port, while the Power/Lock key and volume rocker are provided on the left.

The tablet has a 7-inch TFT display with 1024x600p resolution and 170p pixel density. The tablet runs  Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, and packs features like 512MB RAM, 1.2GHz processor and 2,710 mAh battery.

Connectivity features of the device include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and microUSB 2.0. Acer has also thrown in   a VGA front camera . The device comes in 8 and 16GB variants.

The tablet comes with a variety of pre-loaded apps such as Chrome browser, movie editor and ebook reader. It also includes Google Now digital voice assistant and Acer Registration App. The Acer Iconia Tab B1-A71,  priced at Rs 7,999 is pretty much a good buy, though it gives 3G support the miss.

Acer Iconia B1-A71 is a perfect device for enjoying music, videos, and reading ebooks. With the attached international warranty, it will be easier for the customers to repair the tablet in case it throws up trouble. We do not however like the fact that it  lacks 3G connectivity and a rear camera.
