Sprint Offering Galaxy Nexus for Free

Good news for those who are looking to purchase a smartphone, because Sprint has announced a drop in price for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus to virtually nil for its new customers.

Recently, Best Buy had announced a fall in price for iPhones, and Sprint has followed suit by lowering the price of the Galaxy Nexus.

The Galaxy Nexus is powered by a 1.2 GHZ dual-core processor and on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. But company is expected to soon offer an update to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

Sprint Galaxy Update Removes Local Search

Post-legal proceedings from the part of Apple, Sprint is now removing local search from their Galaxy Nexus devices.

Until a while ago, all models of the Galaxy Nexus, including the Google Play takju version, the various GSM yakju builds and variants, and the CDMA/LTE versions, had sported universal search.

With this service customers were able to search the web for contacts or media files. But Apple had filed a law suit against this, prompting the court to ban the sales of the takju model.
