Different Avatars of the Apple iPhone

It was in 2007 when Apple had launched its first iPhone. Now after 5 years, the company has introduced their 6th generation iPhone 5 a few days ago. Here is a look at the different generations of the amazing handset from the company at Cupertino.

First Generation

The original iPhone features a 3.5 inches multi-touch display with five physical buttons and comes with chrome plated metal frame. The back of which was made of aluminum with a black plastic base and the camera was in the upper-left corner of the iPhone’s rear.

The total resolution remains the same and the total pixel count is 1,136×640. The screen is bright and crispy.

Dual-band 802.11n wireless connectivity will speed up your Wi-Fi experience up to 150 Mbps.

The A6 chip, embedded in the device, is two times faster than the present A5 chip and will provide excellent graphic performance.

Apple iPhone5 Launch Will Put an End to iPhone3GS Sales

Only a few days are left for the Apple’s iPhone 5 launch and rumors are rife in the market.

Sources suggest that with the arrival of new iPhone model Apple is deciding to cut the old models such as iPhone 3GS.

Apple’s iPhone 3GS is now available for free at a two-year contract agreement. The phone was launched in 2009 and, since then, it has been one of the most popular devices from the Cupertino company.

Apple’s upcoming Operating System iOS 6 will be available in iPhone 3GS, but some apps like turn-by-turn navigation requires the new version handset.

Apple iPhone5 Battery Images Leaked; Looks Bigger

Only a few days are remaining for the September 12th event, where Apple is expected to launch its iPhone5.

Until now, we have heard many rumors about the device and seen many pictures showing its motherboard and the front panel. And now, the latest entry to this group is the new Apple smartphone battery.

The iPhone5 battery has leaked from the electronics repair company iResQ. We guess these pictures are more reliable.

The leaked images show a battery that appears to perfectly fit within the phone frame and the battery looks slightly larger than the previous iPhone 4S.

The pictured battery seems to run at 3.8 volts with a capacity of 5.45 watt hours, rather than the 3.7 volt, 5.3 watt hour battery in the iPhone 4S.

Apple iPhone5 to be Accompanied by New Set of Earphones

Apple is all set to launch its new iPhone 5 devices at the rumored September 12 event and the latest information says that the device will also be accompanied by a set of new earphones.

Going by what we find on a Vietnamese site, the next generation iPhone 5 earphones look smaller than the traditional ones with its new form factor.

Unlike the traditional older round shape, the new devices will appear as fitting the ears better and would feature two separate speaker “ports” instead of a single one.

The site also says that each earphone looks like a fully integrated, single unit.

Apple Falls to Seventh Slot in China Smartphone Market

Looks like Apple is losing its battle in the China smartphone space. The Cupertino-based company has lost its second position, and now has been ranked seventh in the country’s smartphone market.

Going by a report by information and analysis provider HIS, Apple has sold 5.2 million smartphones in China in the last quarter. And, this accounts for only 7.5 percent share of the total smartphone market in China and only one-third of Samsung sales.

In the meantime, Lenovo has managed to rise from seventh position to number two position in the Chinese market, where as ZTE is moved from number four to three.

Apple and Samsung Reveal Sales Details

The Apple Vs Samsung fight has revealed some interesting facts about the two companies’ sales reports from June 2010 to July 2012.

According to the sales documents, Samsung sold 21.5 million smartphones in the United Sates from June 2010 to July 2012 with generating revenue of $7.5 billion.

Sprint, Samsung’s best carrier partner for the Galaxy S series with the Samsung Epic 4G (Galaxy S1) and the Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch accounting for 1.9 million and 1.67 million units.

And for Samsung, the Epic 4G was the biggest benefit provider with a profit of $855 million between 2010 and 2012. Altogether, Samsung sold 4.1 million Galaxy SII devices during the period.
