Pantech Vega Iron Android Smartphone Made Offcial in Korea; Sports Awesome Specs

Finally, Vega Iron, the impressive flagship handset from Pantech has officially launched in South Korea. Earlier rumors had said that the device will sport a Full HD display with resolution of 1920 x 1080. But the actual handset comes with a 5-inch HD display with resolution of 1280 x 720.

On the board, the Pantech Vega Iron packs a 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS. The manufacturer has promised an upgrade to 4.2 Jelly Bean in the near future.

The handset includes a high end spec list such as GB of RAM and 32 GB of inbuilt memory, which can expandable via microSD card slot. It  also supports LTE connectivity and carries a 13-megapixel rear camera with eye tracking technology.

The battery capacity of the handset is a little bit disappointing. The phone is powered by a 2150 mAh battery but Pantech claims that its performance can match a 3000 mAh battery and it can be fully charged in just 87 minutes.

Yet, Pantech has not announced anything about the device’s availability date or pricing. But Pantech is planning to launch the phone in other markets like the US and Japan.

The Pantech Vega Iron will release on SK Telekom, KT and LG U+ and will be available in black or white color options.
