Nokia Lumia Devices to Feature Wireless Charging Station

We all are expecting the launch of Nokia’s new Windows Phone 8 devices, the Lumia 820 and 920. Rumors are rife that these devices will feature wireless charging compatibility. Now as if cementing that belief, images of Nokia’s wireless charging pad have leaked.

We hear the Lumia 820 and the 920 devices will feature Qi compatibility. No further details are available regarding the given accessory, may be they added a magnet inside to keep the Lumia in place.

The image shows both the upcoming Nokia Lumia 920 PureView and the Lumia 820 with wireless charging pad. The charging pad holds a single cord that should be connected to a USB port or any other power source.

The devices in the image have shown resting on the charging pad in the same orientation. That means the phones must keep a particular alignment in order to working the wireless charger.

The pad looks smaller than the phone models and the phones look slightly different in their design.

There are rumors that Nokia’s wireless charging system is Qi compatible that means it works with third charging platforms.

We now need to figure out the complete details about the devices on the September 5th joint event when Nokia  and Microsoft will announce their Windows Phone Lumia devices.
