Nokia 301 Budget Phone Launched in India

The Nokia 301 budget has made its way into the Indian market. The phone is already up for pre-order on e-retailer sites. Nokia 301 comes with advanced features and camera options. This dual SIM phone allows the users to swap the SIM cards without switching off their device- which was a feature in the company’s flagship phone, Asha 501.

The Nokia 301 comes with a traditional keyboard and runs on the Asha 40 platform. The keypad features a tiny 2.4-inch LCD transmissive display.

Nokia claims than phone supports 3.5G internet speed. Though a budget phone, the camera of the device looks good. The rear snapper is a 3.2 MP cam, and Nokia has provided features like step-by-step voice instructions for a perfect self-portrait.

Amateur photographers could use this phone to capture complete, wide shots with the 100-degree Panorama function embedded. There is also a feature of taking up to 5 pictures in one shot.

The device is available in colors like black, cyan, yellow or fuchsia and the powerhouse for the device is a 1200mAh battery. Nokia assures 6 hours 3G talktime and 936 hours 3G standby. The phone also supports USB 2.0, BT 3.0. No Wi-Fi support or NFC, as this is a budget phone.

The e-commerce sites have tagged a price of Rs.5140 for the device, while Nokia has officially priced the 301 at Rs. 5349. This budget device looks like the best deal for feature-phone seekers at a budget price.
