Nokia 207 & 208 3G-Enabled Phones Unveiled

Nokia has lifted the wraps off three 3G featuring smartphones – 207, 208 and 208 dual SIM. The three variants sport a candy bar shape and have bright colored back covers. Similar to the Finnish manufacturer’s Lumia range phones and the new Asha 501, the new offer water resistant properties and a 2.4-inch display.

nokia-207-208All three handsets come sporting capabilities for 2G, 3G, BT 3.0 and microUSB. The 208 and 208 dual SIM models have a 1.3 MP rear camera with features like panorama, voice-guided self portrait and sequential shot. However, the 207 doesn’t have a rear camera.

The devices are preloaded with Xpress Browser, Mail for Exchange, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. The company has included WhatsApp in the single-SIM variant of 208, but gives it the miss in the 207 and 208 dual-SIM variants. The phones feature a new Transfer app, which helps in importing contacts from Windows as well as Android smartphones.

The 207 and 208 are priced $68 apiece , and that excludes carrier subsidies and local taxes. The device may hit market in Q3 2013. The powerhouse for the devices is a 1,020mAh battery and they will come in colors of red, cyan, white and black.

Nokia has stated that the 207 and 208 models have been designed to suit people with a classic taste and those who love the traditional keypad.
