Motorola Motosmart Design Doesn’t Charm; the Price Tag Does

The all new Motorola Motosmart  is one charming budget Android device that joins the new wave of low cost smart phones. This new phone by Motorola is believed to cost a little less than a hundred pounds in the UK market.

This phone might appear to be slightly chunky, but it rests nicely on your palm. The black matte covers add a touch of class. You can’t help but notice the bumps on the front side of the phone that makes it a whole lot chunky.

The Motosmart lacks the vibrancy that is visible in the other Motorola phones and this could lead to its ultimate downfall. All this could draw less attraction from customers when compared to its more stylish counterparts like HTC Desire and Sony Xperia U.

In order to keep the price low, Motorola has enabled the Motosmart with a lower end 600MHz Qualcomm MSM7227 processor and a reasonably big RAM of 512 MB. The all round performance was impressive, even though when opening a few apps, there is a small lag.

The screen resolution isn’t all that great, as the text appears a little blurry. The Motosmart comes with the Android 2.3 Gingerbread Operating System.

There is a rear facing 3MP camera with no flash but they have included a few additional features.

Considering its price tag, the Motorola Motosmart doesn’t fail to impress us, but its uninspiring design might lead to its downfall eventually.
