Review: Meizu MX Quad-Core Smartphone is Faster Than You Thought

Chinese company Meizu has launched its cute quad core smartphone, christened Meizu MX. Well, the name Meizu is not a well known name outside China, simply because the company has not entered into the Western market.

This 4 inch smartphone looks good and follows a minimalist design. The Samsung Exynos quad-core processor makes it a fast phone and the Meizu Flyme interface makes things simpler. The device runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

The device holds other specifications such as the 640x 960 pixel resolution and the LCD display that gives good visual quality, 1,700mAh battery, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a micro-USB port that supports USB host, MHL for HDMI output and S/PDIF for digital audio connection.

The virtual keyboard is simple and very fast – even faster than the iPhone 4S keyboard. Applications like E-mail, calendar, Skype and Google Maps works well.

The device camera offers good photo quality and capable to shoot photos in low light. The camera app has a Gesture capture mode that allows the user to operate the camera with a finger without touching the screen. In normal cases tapping on screen can cause a shake which could result in blurry photos.

With all these applications it is clear why this phone is getting attention. We think it is good to purchase this low price smartphone and enjoy the facilities but unfortunately this device is not available in US at present.
