LG Optimus Vu 2 Arrives in Korea

LG has announced the next generation Optimus Vu 2, which appears set to compete with Samsung and the Galaxy Note 2. This Optimus Vu 2 is trying to stand next to the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 which is now one of the most sought after smartphones in the market.

The much-awaited tablet sports a 5 inch IPS 720p HD display, dual core Qualcomm processor, and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It comes equipped with an 1.5 GHz chip, 2 GB of memory up to 32GB of microSD storage and LTE connectivity.

The smartphone will obviously arrive with a slightly larger 2150 mAh removable battery. It also features an 8 MP rear camera with a 1.3MP front-facing camera. Not only that, it also packs with NFC capabilities and an IR blaster.

The device also pairs a new infrared remote control system named QRemote. This remote enables the users to control various devices in their house.   Apart from its upgraded memory, it looks a lot like theU.S.version of its predecessor.

They have in common the screen resolution of 1,024 x 768 and oddball shape, with a ‘square’ish 4:3 ratio.

Though it is not confirmed, the device  is expected to cost $865 inSouth Korea. No word yet on when will it launch the device in other markets.
