LG Optimus G Pro Heads for India this Month

LG is heading for India after a small gap, and intends to capture market share in one of the largest, growing smartphone markets. This South Korean company is all set to launch its phablet LG Optimus G Pro in the country. The phablet, widely considered as a Samsung Galaxy Note II competitor, is stepping on Indian soil this month.

The LG Optimus G Pro features a 5.5-inch capacitive True Full HD IPS Plus LCD display with touch screen with 1080x1920p resolution. The clarity and pixel resolution deserve special mention, but the device gives S-pen the miss.

The operating system which runs the phone is latest Android Jelly Bean 4.2 and is powered by a quad-core 1.7 GHz Krait 300 Snapdragon 600 processor.

Internal storage is 32 GB and is expandable up to 64 GB via microSD. The RAM is of 2GB. The power house of this device is a battery of 3140mAh.

Camera for this phone features a 13 MP rear shooter with LED flash and 2.1 MP front snapper supporting video calls. The phone supports full HDR dual-video recording at 1080p@30fps. Geo-tagging, face detection, image stabilization, panorama, HDR modes are the highlights.

The phone comes in two color variants – black and white. It weighs only 172 grams.

The success of the device in India would however depend on the pricing and ability to overshadow Samsung.
