LG Optimus G: Faster, Cuter Smartphone

Optimus G may be seen as the masterpiece smartphone from the LG stables. The key feature in this device is the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 quad-core processor, which is double the power of Samsung Galaxy SIII’s S4 processor. So no need to worry about the device speed.

The device features a 4.7 inch screen True HD IPS+ display that offers a 1280x 768 WXGA resolution and uses an in-cell technology.

The other amazing element in this device is its 13megapixel rear camera that comes with a Cheese Mode, it snaps picture when you say a pre-programmed word.

Unfortunately, the Optimus G runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and not the 4.1 Jelly Bean. And, the device won’t get Google’s new Project Butter improvements to UI performance.

LG’s new Crystal Reflection process is used in the back of the device that gives a glassy 3D illusion look to the device.

Another new feature in this LG device is its picture in picture mode that is named QSilde technology.

This technology offers a complete dual-screen simultaneous mode. It shows two different screens simultaneously on one display. Therefore the user can complete two functions at the same time.

Verdict

Overall the device features are impressive. The only drawback about this device is its Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS, but despite this negative aspect, Optimus G is a good one to pick.
