LG Optimus 4X HD Looks to Rule; Comes Across as a Pretty Good Phone

LG has not tasted great success of late, when compared with Samsung and HTC. With the LG Optimus 4X HD, the Korean company is going to come back with a bang in the Android market.

The LG Optimus 4X HD has a textured white plastic rear and the buttons are conventionally placed, with the power and standby on the top and the volume rocker on the left-hand side.

At the bottom, there is a microUSB that supports MHL, so one can still hook up to a large display with the right kind of cable. The handset measures 132.4 x 68.1 x 8.9mm, and it’s pretty average for a 4.7-inch device and it weighs 141g.

The 4.7-inches of the display put the 4X HD at the top of the Android smartphone pile and have a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.

LG Optimus 4X HD runs Ice Cream Sandwich OS and across the bottom of the display there are three touch controls. LG has also retained the menu button. The user gets to swipe down notifications and access alerts directly.

LG knows all about entertainment and the Optimus 4X HD has both Dolby Mobile and Divx HD. The music player is reasonable enough, with Dolby looking to boost the audio performance.

There is an 8-megapixel camera on the rear side of the LG Optimus 4X HD and a front-facing camera for video conferencing or for taking a self portrait. But the Wi-Fi seems to be a little temperamental.

On the whole the LG Optimus 4X HD looks pretty much exciting so go and find out how much it would cost.
