HTC 8S Not Coming to US Market

HTC has let down their US customers by announcing that they have no plans to sell their latest budget friendly Windows Phone 8 device the HTC 8S, in the US market.

In an official statement, the company has confirmed this by saying that they wants to focus on its flagship Windows Phone 8 handset the HTC 8X in the US.

HTC announced both the devices 8S and 8X on September 19 where as the HTC 8X went on sale in the U.S in November. It is the first device with Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 and available through AT&T, Verizon Wireless, and T-Mobile.

HTC 8S is a mid level Windows Phone 8 device that is noticed by its stunning colors and design. HTC has introduced the device with the purpose of competing with the Nokia Lumia 820 and other mid-level Android phones in stores.

If any US customer really wants to get this device, then they need to buy a SIM-free model from other markets or purchase it from any U.S retailers without any discount.

HTC Windows Phone 8S is a pretty device with a 4-inch WVGA LCD display (480 x 800 pixels at 233-ppi) and a 1GHz dual core Krait processor with Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 chipset. It comes with a 512 MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage along with a microSD slot for expanding memory up to 32GB.
