Four Major Carriers in the UK to Sell BlackBerry 10 Phones

All four major UK carriers have expressed their interest to sell BlackBerry 10 phones as they launch on January 30th. According to Research in Motion’s CEO Thorsten Heins, all four of the major UK networks have confirmed the sales of BlackBerry 10 handsets for  2013.

Carriers like Vodafone, O2, Three and EE have confirmed that they will be offering the BlackBerry 10 handset and this is a major success for RIM, as they re-entering the mobile business.

The carrier EE has also confirmed that BlackBerry 10 devices will be compatible with their recently launched 4G LTE network.

Though Blackberry devices shipments have decreased over time but still it have a huge fan follower in the United Kingdom.

Based on an Ofcom poll conducted in March 2011, 24 percent of smartphone users in the UK own a BlackBerry device while 37 percent of teenagers prefer the BlackBerry devices over other.

If these reports are true then BlackBerry 10 devices will be available for pre-order soon after its launch in January 30 but the devices will not go on sale until February.

The launch event will take place in six cities including New York, Toronto, London, Paris, Johannesburg and Dubai.
