BlackBerry is Eyeing for Next Generation Mobile Devices

Two years back when BlackBerry introduced its first BlackBerry PlayBook, tablet market was not much crowded. But everything has changed since then. Now customers have multiple choices in the tablet market along with Android and iOS products. The average price point for a tablet device has also fallen. But the tablet market is a yet to be harnessed in its many more levels, which is why every mobile device manufacturers are looking for a success in the tablet industry.

A leaked 2013 roadmap from @BB10Leaks suggests that BlackBerry is planning to introduce a tablet device named the BlackBerry 10L in the 3rd or 4th quarter of 2013. Though the leaked image suggests a tablet device, there is also a mere possibility that it would be a phablet.

Right now, we don’t have information on the price or any spec details such as the processor, screen resolution or the storage of the device. The only thing we are sure about the device is about its OS. It will certainly pack the latest BlackBerry 10 OS, the operating system that  runs on the BlackBerry Z10 and Q10 smartphones.

If the leaked roadmap of BlackBerry is true, a phablet device is also under development.  Unfortunately, no more details are available about the device.

Rumors also suggest another mid-size smartphone from BlackBerry, which is expected to launch by the end of 2013.
