AT&T Pantech Renue is Green; Arriving on October 7

AT&T has launched their latest mobile phone, the Pantech Renue, which is designed to be an environmentally friendly device. It is expected to hit company-owned stores and licensed dealer channels by October 7.

The Pantech Renue is made from 67 percent recycled components and 95 percent recycled packaging. The onboard power-saving app is another nod to Earth’s resources.

The Pantech Renue features a 3.2 inch capacitive touchscreen display and is powered by Qualcomm’s Brew Mobile Platform.

This newly launched handset is the latest addition to manufacturer’s portfolio of quick messaging phones. The device aims to deliver the best of both worlds by packing a 3.2 inch capacitive touch screen for enhanced navigation while a slide out full QWERTY keyboard caters to providing an enriched messaging experience.

This device also comes with a decent 3 megapixel camera. The handset is also designed to be durable and conforms to the MIL Spec 810 G design, and is dust, sand and temperature resistant.

The Pantech Renue is now available for $69.99 with AT&T after a $50 mail in rebate. You can find out more details over at AT&T.

Starting July 30, AT&T will release eco-rating labels on postpaid handset devices, and on 14 existing cell phones.
