Apple Claims Two Million Sales for iPhone5 in China

Apple has started the sales of its iPhone 5 on last Thursday in China and now announced that they had sold more than two million  devices in just four days.

In the Chinese market, customer response to the popular iPhone 5 has been incredible and it has set a new record with the best first weekend sales ever in China, says Apple CEO Tim Cook.

China is the second biggest market for Apple’s iPhone after US and the device got hundreds of thousands of pre-order online reservations in the country.

When the iPhone 5 launched in the U.S. it sold around 5 million units in first weekend and it was a huge growth when compared to the iPhone 4S. According to analysts, Apple will sell around 47.5 million iPhones in this quarter.

Apple launched its iPhone 5 in back September in ten countries including the US. And the manufacturer is planning to release the device in more than 100 countries by the end of December and this will make the device the fastest iphone rollout ever.

In China the iPhone 5 is available through carriers such as China Telecom and China Unicom. But still the device is not being offered by China Mobile, the largest carrier in China.
