Acer Liquid Z2 Runs on Android Jelly Bean

Acer introduced a new entry level Android phone named Acer Liquid Z2 at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Comparing with other Android devices in the market, it showcases a small design but  runs on the latest Android Jelly Bean OS.

The Liquid Z2 sports a 3.5-inch HVGA display with 480×320 pixel resolution and includes a special Quick Mode, which simplifies the interface with big icons. The handset is powered by a dual-core 1GHz processor along with 512MB RAM.

The handset is said to be have two cameras, a 3-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. It also supports 3G connectivity, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, A-GPS and FM Radio. The device measures 110 x 62.5 x 12.25 mm and weighs 110g. It is powered by an 1,300mAh battery.

Acer may introduce two models of the Liquid Z2, a single and dual SIM version. The Liquid Z2 will be available for purchase in France, Belgium, Netherlands and Ukraine followed by Russia, UK and Italy and will cost around €100-€130 ($134-$175).

The handset has already started shipping globally and also available for pre-order for £90 (€100).
