Acer India Windows 8 Touch-Enabled Devices Out

Acer has launched three new Windows 8 devices – a tablet, an ultrabook and a notebook – for the Indian market. The company, thereby, has become the first PC company to launch a full-featured 8.1-inch tablet, along with two other new products in the country. The three devices are the Iconia W3, Aspire P3 and Aspire R7 .

The tablet, Iconia W3, weighs 540 grams and is 11.35-mm thin. This device pairs with an optional full-size Bluetooth keyboard and also features a virtual keypad apt for optional thumb typing. This device will be available from Rs. 30,499 onwards.

The Acer Aspire P3 is an Ultrabook that weighs 1.3 kg and measures 0.77-inches in thickness. It is available for purchase for a price of Rs. 54,999. Meanwhile, the Aspire R7 Notebook is a 15.6-inch full HD touch screen device with resolution of 1920x1080p and its price starts from Rs 74,999.

Acer has now set its eye on manufacturing 80 percent of its total products on touch technology by 2015.
