Review: Ubislate 7ci a $20 Tablet Device (Aakash 2)

Ever imagined a tablet device that cost only $20? If you haven’t as yet, you can now. The tablet is called Ubislate 7ci, also known as the Aakash 2.

Developed by Datawind, this cheapest tablet is a part of e-learning project by the Indian Government. The company is  actually selling this device for $40 but Indian government will subsidize it by half and up to 220 million Indian students will get the device in just $20.

Lava to Launch a Low Cost Phablet Device Xolo A800

India-based mobilephone manufacturer Lava is recognized for their budget friendly handsets. The company had recently announced their Lava Xolo A700, a dual SIM Android smartphone  featuring a 1 GHz processor and a 4.5 inch display. The Xolo A700 is priced at Rs 9,999 will compete with the other entry level smartphones .

Review: Soundfreaq Sound Rise

The Sound Rise is a different speaker that combines an alarm clock, a speaker with various inputs and a device charger.

The speaker has a display that is situated between the fabric speaker grills, glowing buttons and a nice plastic base. By touching the music button it turns on the music. The speaker has four different inputs such as Bluetooth, iPod, 3.5mm, and FM radio.

Aquos Phone Zeta to Launch with IGZO Display

Japanese mega-operator NTT DoCoMo’s  new flagship device Aquos Phone Zeta SH-02E is rolling out in a while. The SH-02E is the first smartphone device that comes with the much hyped IGZO display.

Those who are unaware about this IGZO display, it is the indium gallium zinc oxide technology that promises higher translucency compared to regular LCDs. It reduces the demand for backlighting and that means less battery drain.

Tablet Shipments to Race Ahead of Laptops in Q4 of 2012

Tablet shipments will exceed laptops for the first time in North America, during the fourth quarter of 2012. According to a forecast by Richard Shim of NPD DisplaySearch, tablet shipments in the fourth quarter of this year will reach 21.5 million units where as only 14.6 million units of laptops will be shipped during this period.

Microsoft’s new Sculpt Comfort Keyboard is a wireless keyboard  powered by two AAA batteries and connects to the computer via  an USB stick. This ergonomic keyboard claims to reduce the wrist strain and make typing easier.

Talking of the design,  Sculpt is slightly curved and looks nice. The manufacturer has transformed the space bar into two different buttons. When you hold one of the shift keys, the left space button turns into a spare backspace key.

Samsung Galaxy Camera Arrives In Canada with Carrier Independent 3G

Samsung Galaxy Camera, which is already available in the US and UK market, is now all set to launch in the Canadian market on December 7.
